July 4, 2009 Message of the Week (Cont’d.)

July 9, 2009

This message is a continuum for July 4th. The following gospel song, “In That Day and Hour” that I composed, is once again performed along with my friend Captain Dale Auten; he is playing lead guitar. Dale is a retired Boeing 767 Captain from Airborne Express where we flew together out of the Wilmington Airpark, our company headquarters in Wilmington, Ohio for over fourteen years.

Dale and I had both been career airline pilots with Eastern Airlines and found new opportunities at Airborne Express in 1991. God blessed our efforts to reestablish our careers for our families. This following the bankruptcy of Eastern Airlines. Dale and I put our feet to our prayers and “landed” feet first at Airborne Express. Dale Auten has been and is a mentor to us all in the establishment of the “Message of Truth”

Following the sermon, by Preacher David Miller, on “Regeneration” this gospel song “In That Day and Hour” is appropriate at this place in the “Message of Truth”. This song was written as a result of a weekly prayer meeting that I attend with retired Eastern Airline employees over these past few years. This composition transpired over the last year after having studied the scriptures in the book of Luke Chapter 12 verse 20 and Chapter 15 verse 17 i.e. The Parable of the Lost Son – “The Prodigal Son”.

What are you going to do? “In that Day and Hour”
